FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TENNESSEE MORTGAGE BANKERS ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL “FUTURE LEADERS ACADEMY” CLASS

The Tennessee Mortgage Bankers Association (TNMBA) has selected the participants for the inaugural class of the “Future Leaders Academy,” according to an announcement by Retta Gardner, 2018-2019 President of TNMBA.

“Creating this program ensures that TNMBA will continue to have trained, informed, and equipped leaders from across Tennessee in the future. It is a significant step forward for the association.” Gardner said. “We congratulate all of those selected to participate in this experience and look forward to what their leadership will do to further develop and strengthen TNMBA.”

According to Gardner, the Future Leaders experience will include five separate sessions in a variety of locations. Two sessions will be included as part of TNMBA’s engagement with the four-state Great River Conference in April 2019 in Memphis. Topics included will range from the history of TNMBA and leadership development to ethics, servicing, the life of a loan, and even a “day on the hill” legislative experience at the Tennessee State Capitol.

Those selected for the inaugural class include:

Pasquanel “PJ” Bailey – Regions Mortgage (Johnson City, TN)
Rebekah Bicknell – Tennessee Housing Development Agency (Nashville, TN)
Sheena Corbett – Synovus Mortgage Corporation (Cleveland, TN)
Jennifer Green – Mortgage Investors Group (Knoxville, TN)
Donnie Hissa – FirstBank (Nashville, TN)
Aimee MacIlveen – Guaranty Trust Company (Knoxville, TN)
Bobby Matthews – FirstBank (Nashville, TN)
Matthew Mattingly – Guaranty Trust Company (Murfreesboro, TN)
Lauren McKinney – National Mortgage Insurance (Knoxville, TN)
Kevin Tuscan – Mortgage Investors Group (Knoxville, TN)

“TNMBA is naturally very pleased to make this announcement and excited about this new experience. We want to express our appreciation to Dana Abernathy, with National Mortgage Insurance in Nashville, as the lead sponsor for TNMBA’s Future Leaders Academy. Dana’s engagement with the development of the Future Leaders Academy in specific, and with TNMBA in general, is exemplary. Without her support, and the support of National Mortgage Insurance, it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to make all of this happen,” said Gardner.
