Hello and welcome to my world of making homeownership dreams come true, I'm Amanda Mize, your dedicated Loan Officer with Mortgage Investors Group. My journey in the mortgage industry began unexpectedly when a friend and mentor thought I would be a great fit, and encouraged me to enter the world of home financing. The leap of faith was worth it—I fell in love with this industry instantly!

My strength lies in the art of communication; I'm an over-communicator, which serves well in ensuring my clients are fully informed and comfortable throughout their home buying process. I thrive on networking and my outgoing, personable nature has allowed me to forge strong relationships with clients and professionals alike.

What sets me apart is my dynamic partnership with April, who expertly manages the operational aspects behind the scenes. I'm the one who starts the journey with you, gathering all your important details, setting up the initial stages, while April ensures everything runs smoothly to the point of closing.

Life is a vibrant tapestry for me, composed of my passions and a bustling, blended family of seven kids, ranging from toddlers to young adults, two dogs, a plant, and a goldfish. My favorite color is blue, which reflects the tranquility I find on the golf course or while cooking up a storm—chicken parm and lasagna are my specialties. I spend my weekends indulging in hobbies like playing tennis, watching soccer (a family favorite since my daughter plays too), and creating fun charcuterie boards.

I'm passionate about education and aspire to teach and train others. I'm excited about the prospect of becoming CE certified to combine my love for teaching with my mortgage expertise.

My humor is like a pinch of salt in a recipe—it's sarcastically delightful, often leaving my kids rolling their eyes at dad jokes and puns, but it's all in good fun. I relax by camping with friends, and unwinding to favorite TV shows like "Friends" and "Suits".

When I want to get away, the beach, Disney World, or camping in Townsend are my go-to spots. Italy tops my bucket list, with dreams of wandering the streets of Rome and Venice.

Remembering the first time I bought a home as a single mom, juggling a teaching job and a tight budget, solidifies my commitment to guide others with empathy and expertise.

To keep ahead in this fast-paced industry, I immerse myself in resources like HW and MBS Highway, balancing the stress with a sprinkle of humor and meditation. I'm active in community organizations including KAAR, East TN Realtors, KMBA, and WCR, and you can find me on social media sharing life’s milestones.

A cool fact about me? I was once a drum major in High School and was part of The Pride of the Southland Marching Band at UT!
