About Me

Chris Evans brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and success — and most importantly, a proven track record of helping clients achieve their goals. With more than 33 years in the mortgage industry, Chris has focused on loan origination “at the street level,” applying his expertise in Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans.

Prior to joining MIG, Chris built a well-rounded and successful career, including owning and managing Thoroughbred Lending Company in central Kentucky. His success stems from hard work, commitment, and integrity — but what truly sets him apart is his “Customer First” philosophy, emphasizing ethical, compliant, and straightforward lending.

Chris has been an active leader in the mortgage industry throughout his career. He has served as President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Bluegrass three times and was named Mortgage Banker of the Year by that same organization. In addition, he is a Past President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Kentucky. A proud University of Kentucky graduate, Chris also completed the Florida Ironman in Panama City in 2017.

A Lexington native, Chris resides there with his wife of 35 years, Diane. They have two grown children and one granddaughter. In his spare time, Chris enjoys cycling, boating, and participating in triathlon events — but most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
