About Me

Hi, I’m Rachel Shelton, and I’ve been in the mortgage industry since 2016. I started my journey with a dedication to being an outstanding receptionist, determined to learn everything I could about the business. From there, I worked my way up as a loan processor, credit analyst, and finally, in 2024, I became a licensed team loan officer. With nearly a decade of experience, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the mortgage process and how to best serve my clients.

What sets me apart is my commitment to truly making a difference in people’s lives. I know not all loan officers are about dollar signs—and I want my clients to feel that. It’s about ensuring they feel seen, valued, and empowered when they close on their home. That moment of hearing “Thank you, I appreciate everything you’ve done” is what I live for—and hey, who doesn’t love a good pat on the back!

I work with all kinds of clients, but I have a special knack for thinking outside the box to find creative solutions. I’ve had the honor of helping clients overcome obstacles when other lenders turned them away. 
I really enjoy working with with first-time homebuyers and have experience with investment loans, which allow me to serve clients with non-traditional credit situations. My goal is to help clients understand that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to mortgages. I’m here to guide them through all their options, giving them the tools to feel informed and confident every step of the way.

When I’m not helping clients, you can find me spending time with my sweet husband (whom I actually met through Mortgage Investors Group—he was a contractor on a repair escrow!) and our three amazing kids, JM, Micah, and Myah. Family time is everything to me, and it helps me stay grounded and energized to keep doing what I love—making homeownership dreams a reality.
