About Me

I love serving borrowers as they pursue homeownership. As a veteran mortgage lender, I'm able to assist first-time homebuyers, as well as savvy investors who want to build wealth for their families through real estate.

My career in mortgage lending started while I was working in the mortgage processing department at a small bank to put myself through college. After earning my master's degree in economics from the University of Tennessee, I became a managing partner of a mortgage company. Over the 25 years that followed, I developed a multi-faceted array of knowledge about home loan programs and real estate while working as a loan officer, broker and branch manager. Before joining MIG's Bearden branch in April 2023 as a senior loan officer, I also pursued other business ventures, including ownership in a title company and property management company. All of this experience and wisdom enhance my work with borrowers of all ages and types who want to learn how to use real estate to build wealth.

As someone with a teacher's heart, I value education and believe the more informed a homebuyer is about the lending process and their home loan options, the more confident they'll feel about the home financing choices they make. I aim to exceed customer expectations by providing clients with a product that includes the fairest rate and closing costs. They can also expect to be treated with what I refer to as the three H's: honesty, humor and hustle. My hope is for my clients to leave the closing table in a better spot than when we first began our lending relationship.

When I'm not providing the highest level of customer service in assisting homebuyers so they may achieve their goals of homeownership, I give back to my community by coaching high school basketball and volleyball. My wife and I also regularly have the honor of walking alongside younger couples as they navigate the ups and downs of marriage and parenting. I have sat on many boards, including those for Waters Edge Church, the Knoxville Independent School League and A Desire to Serve, a nonprofit ministry serving people in Nicaragua. I also served as the Athletic Director of Paideia Academy for seven years. It isn't unusual to find me outdoors, enjoying the beautiful East Tennessee views and weather from my 12 acres of prime Rockford farmland. I enjoy chilling to tunes, gardening, watching wildlife and good conversations with friends by the fire or the pool.

I look forward to assisting you with your current or future mortgage loan needs. I hope to hear from you soon.
