One of the first things you’ll notice when you walk into our branch is a homey atmosphere that lets you know we are real people taking care of real people. Not only do we genuinely care about the customers we help become homeowners, but we have a good time doing it. So don’t be surprised if you see us wearing costumes on Halloween or donning our pajamas from time to time. We’re apt to offer you a refreshment or a mint when you walk through the door. We surround ourselves with inspiring words, big smiles and a healthy dose of friendly conversation and laughter. Those are just some of the ways we hope to make you feel welcome and put you at ease as you set out to finance the home of your dreams or refinance one you already love.
Branch Manager Lindsey Wood is an award-winning, second-generation lender whose history with the branch spans her entire life. As the daughter of our first manager, she started “working” at the age of five by making photocopies of files for her mom before they were submitted for underwriting. In high school, she graduated to more earnest tasks and since then, has been a processing assistant, loan officer and operations manager before following in her mom’s footsteps as branch manager. She is licensed to originate loans in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Other loan officers in the branch also hold multi-state licenses spanning the Southeast.
We can confidently say you’ll make an informed decision about which home loan to choose because we take the time to get to know you, understand your goals and explain all of your options to you. We’ll break down the mortgage lending process for you and answer your questions until you feel comfortable. Our entire team, including our processors, underwriters, loan officer assistants and other support staff, works together to ensure you are informed, understood and treated with respect. We want MIG to be your mortgage family, so you’ll talk to a real person on the phone and share face-to-face conversation when you come to our offices. We’ll also be there to celebrate with you at your closing and keep in touch with you long after you’re handed the keys to your new home. We’ve even been known to help mom and dad secure a loan and then do the same for their kids a few years down the road. We love it when that happens.
We also love it when we run into you around town. We live here like you do and want to see our community be a successful, safe and healthy place we can all be proud to call home. In recent years, we have supported the Chattanooga Community Kitchen, Chambliss Center for Children, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, United Way of Greater Chattanooga, Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Chattanooga Area, local schools, youth sports teams and the Chattanooga Women’s Council of Realtors. If you see us at any of these events, or simply pumping gas, buying groceries or watching our kids play in the park, be sure to stop and say, “Hello.” It reminds us of why we do what we do and always brings a smile to our faces.

I'm Lindsey Wood, a Branch Manager with a dash of Chief Fun Officer on the side. An award-winning, second-generation lender, my roots with the Chattanooga MIG branch run deep, echoing the legacy of my mother, our very first manager, who I still get to work with today! From humble photocopying beginnings to earnest roles in high school, I've worn many hats: processing assistant, loan officer, operations manager, and now, branch manager. Like mother, like daughter, right?
